NMI(no more ignorance) is running a contest , after the banning of Ben Hein . He whas banned for posting a picture of jesus that some pple found to offensif (`god is love , use condomes`).

So the idea is to make a picture that shows your against censureship .

This is my version .
Well i hope you can see what i mend to show .
About the title above on the site , i spelled it like that becose it wount let me write longer titles ...
Some might notice its singed . NMI asked me to .

Haha the site is asking me if i wanna censure it to younger minds before posting it ... Nah its allready done .

Lottalove to evryone !
Justice/Peace !

PS : I had another idea , but i am just to short on time to realise this : A naked person holding a chopped off human head(or somthing horrible to look at) . The naked person is coverd with censureship-black-bares(the genitals/nipples/hands/feets/eyes/mouth... Wile the horrible thing is very clearely seeable . If anyone does have time , feal free to try :P

That's defenetely one of your best, I say. I really like that surrealistic feeling in this one and economical using of colours. :)
Ben Hein was banned? That's very bad news, indeed. I always liked his works, he had his own opinions and unique style. He was balancing on the edge, but hey, isn't that what's all about in art? DeviantArt lost one of the most interestig artist in here, I guess...

Yeh ben hein is banned ... Did you see the picture why he whas banned ? In some way i can understand why the religious pple would find it offensif ... But they sey there are much more offensif pictures on deviant art , wich feals unfair . I deffenetly liked he´s peacefull but still sharp art with a own stile ...

Thanks for the comment . To bad you only see this only now , you couldave joined the contest (it just finished yesterday) .

Yes, I saw it on his acount on Flickr. Indeed, it's very strong piece. Pple find me quite religious, but hey, controversy- that's what's in art all about. Klimt at the beginning was also very controversial for others. Until something is beautyfully made, no matter what it is, it's art. Some people like Warhol, others like Rembrant- no one judge them by what they like. The point is- if you don't like to see sth, don't look. It may sound a bit ignorant, but isn't ignorance a bliss? :D It works for me sometimes. And yes, you're right, there are many strange thing here, on DeviantArt, but I think it's that for what this site was made

i like strange things :)

But i am not a fan of some dead artist . id rather be fan of an artist thats a bit closer , living , and able to answer you when you comment on the art , like you and a few others on this site .
Ben whas one of thos too .

Hey , we had that situation with the tele a few times lol , me dad was looking somthing and me sis dident wanted to see that ... just dont look whas the answhere. But i guess many pple foret that they are capable of closing theyr eyes .
It works for me aswell :)
